Beth Anne and Tyler Topper

A Plainview native, Tyler Topper graduated from Wayland in 2005 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. During his time at Wayland, Tyler made a number of lifelong friends and was actively involved in campus life, eventually serving as president of the Student Government Association his senior year. After graduation, Tyler went on to attend law school at Baylor and passed the bar exam in 2009. Tyler currently serves on Wayland’s board of trustees.

Beth Anne Topper, originally from Midland, attended Texas A&M, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees from A&M before becoming a registered dietician. She worked at the VA hospital in Amarillo for a number of years before leaving her position at the VA to raise a family with Tyler.

Tyler and Beth Anne met in a Sunday School class at Trinity Baptist Church in Amarillo. They married two years later and now have three children—Emily, Betsy and Sam.

The Toppers strongly believe in Wayland’s faith and mission. Their lives would likely be much different if not for their own scholarship opportunities made possible by the generosity of others. Tyler and Beth Anne recognize the Lord’s abundant blessing in their lives, and it is their great pleasure to give back to future generations of students believing that the Lord will use their gifts to impact students’ lives for His kingdom.
